3rd Annual Real World Experience Simulation The Northeastern Workforce Development Board NCWorks NEXTGEN (Youth) Program and partnering schools, businesses and organizations are hosting a REAL WORLD simulation for young adults ages 16-24 in our 10-county region.

Approximately 50 outstanding K–12 teachers from across the state are selected annually for this year-long program. Key components are a three-week summer internship with a mentor in a research or applied STEM setting, and 80 hours of professional development that builds leadership capacity and promotes curricular design bridging STEM at work with STEM at school.Read more about Kenan Fellows[…]

Representatives from many of our partner organizations attended the NCETA conference in Wilmington last month. Workshops on WIOA, Work-based Learning, Career Pathways and other information important to our work were available. It was a great opportunity to learn and share best practices, while networking with other professionals from across the state.
